Bitcoin.com’s Casino: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

A few weeks ago I found out that Bitcoin.com launched their very own casino. There was a lot of hype in the media and I decided to try it myself. I’ve been playing their games for the last 4 days prior writing this review. You can check the games here.

Bitcoin.com Casino: The Good

I am a big fan of Blackjack. In fact, that’s how I make living. I thought nothing can surprise me, but Bitcoin.com’s Blackjack did surprise me a lot. I have to say – they offer the best non-live dealer Blackjack game for newbies. If you are new to Blackjack and want to master it, go for Bitcoin.com’s casino. What I like about their games:

  1. Simple, straightforward and intuitive game design. Even if you only know basic rules, or you don’t know the rules at all, you still can play. The layout of the game is very intuitive and easy to grasp. Games are really addictive. You just keep on playing on and on. You don’t have to worry which button to push, you don’t have to read long manuals, you don’t even have to know the rules – because you will learn them while playing. This is the best Blackjack game design I’ve ever seen!
  2. Free games. You can play as long as you want without paying a dime, so you can practice before investing your money into the game.
  3. Simplicity is addictive. You don’t have to create your profile and fill out long forms. Everything is done automatically. Their registration system is really cool.
  4. Mobile friendly. Yes, you can play on your mobile.
  5. Privacy. Bitcoin.com’s doesn’t ask you to submit your id copy, your real name or your bank card number. If you want complete privacy, this is the right place for you.

Bitcoin.com Casino: The Bad

This casino is just few weeks old and it does have some problems. I am sure Bitcoin.com is going to be fix them in the future. Things I didn’t like:

  1. It wasn’t clear how to access my account. I emailed support and they quickly explained to me how to do it.
  2. The game doesn’t fit the screen. Mobile version of the Blackjack works PERFECTLY. But the desktop version was problematic for me. Each time you want to draw, you have to scroll up to see the cards and then scroll down to draw. If you are using Chrome browser, you can zoom out the page by pressing Ctrl – and play normally.

Update: So far, I didn’t find any other downside. And it seems only Blackjack has that screen size problem.

Bitcoin.com Casino: The Ugly

When I first visited https://games.bitcoin.com/, I got redirected to https://games.bitcoin.com/videopoker. An awful pop-up that suddenly appeared on the screen, freaked me out. I thought maybe it’s some sort of scam and the link is fake? I decided to double check. I went to the official Bitcoin.com website and accessed their gaming web page from there. It’s wasn’t scam, just unfortunate popup/webpage design.

I read the web page more carefully. And the ugly popup was in fact an important notification. I am happy I didn’t click away…

Conclusion

Bitcoin.com’s casino offers amazing intuitive games we all were waiting for. There is room for improvement in terms of website design, but it’s not a big deal when it comes to a true gambling experience.

Even though the web page isn’t perfect, I would still give this casino 5 stars – nothing can bit their Blackjack!

Update: It seems there were improvements from my last visit.
